First and foremost, your time is valuable and we understand that from the get go. Punctuality on our end is one thing we will not falter on. We do our best every day with every patient and sometimes…that takes time. We are not the “5 minute chiropractic office visit,” and we don’t believe in long drawn out treatment plans that leave you with little result in the end.
Before your first visit to our office, if you have questions, please feel free to call us or email us. Call and ask for Dr. Mike as he is more than happy to speak with you directly. We aren’t going to give you some stupid one liner saying “Call us for a free consultation.” Of course it’s a free consultation, who the heck would charge you to talk about what’s causing you trouble? And believe me when I tell you, get a comfortable chair ready because Dr. Mike can talk you ear off because he loves what he does with Chiropractic.
On your first visit, you can expect to be here for 45 minutes to an hour. We will go over what is it that you came in for and we’ll cover some history of your body as well. Often times you’d be amazed what a little conversation can dig up. And if you spoke to Dr. Mike on the phone prior to coming in, yes you can expect him to go over that again. Being thorough is key to our understanding of what we need to do for you. We will also complete an exam of whatever your trouble(s) is/are to find discrepancies in Range of Motion, physical strength and stability, and determine what issues lie in relation to fascial planes and muscle firing patterns and abnormalities.
After you and I complete our exam…let’s get started with our determined course of treatment. If we are working on your spine, for example your neck or your back, you can expect some muscle work, stretching, and light manipulation of spinal segments. If we are working on your shoulder, we may have a couple or several courses or treatment including static and dynamic stretching, A.R.T. or Active Release Technique, IASTM also known as FAKTR/Graston, Dry Needling, and/or manipulation of the should, elbow, wrist joints(s) in addition to the collar bone and ribs under the shoulder blade.
Depending on what your problems is, the severity of it, the history of it, and your influencing daily activities, we may have a lot to work on or we may have just a little. It may be something we can resolve in literally 2 visits, or it may be something that could take some work.
One thing that I can and will guarantee you is that we are very good with what we do. If we can help you, we will tell you. If we can’t, we’ll let you know that as well. Your time is important and ours is as well.
Talking about whatever troubles you is one thing. Looking at it in person is another. Give us a shout, come in and see us. Let us get you to where you want and need to be.
